Needless to say, the Shimanami Kaido is one of the most famous and popular cycling courses in Japan. It crosses the beautiful Seto Inland Sea from Onomichi, Hiroshima on Honshu, the mainland of Japan, through six islands to Imabari, Ehime on Shikoku Island. The total distance is about 70 km.
“Riding through all the way from Honshu to Shikoku is too long, but I want to ride a bike in the famous Shimanami Kaido …” No problem! This course is just for you!
On this course, you can enjoy a one-day trip to Shimanami Kaido on BROMPTON. We start pedaling from the Sunrise Itoyama as the starting point of the Shimanami Kaido on the Shikoku side. When you cross the giant suspension bridges, you will feel as if you are flying over the sea. We visit Yoshiumi iki-iki-kan, a roadside rest area, and Yoshiumi Rose Park on Oshima. You can enjoy wonderful views of the beautiful bridge from many different places below is also wonderful.
The distance is not long, but you can experience the charms of the Shimanami Kaido for sure.
